We live in society: hygiene and deodorants

Spanish consumers favour healthy lifestyle habits, including personal care and beauty products, where they usually look for the best value for money in terms of effectiveness.

The importance of personal hygiene is reflected in their high consumption of shower gels, shampoos and dental products, as well as every kind of skincare, from moisturisers and anti-ageing products to sunscreens.
Skincare and personal hygiene products represent over half the total consumption of perfumery and cosmetics among Spaniards, demonstrating that healthy habits are a deep-rooted part of our culture.

Antiperspirants and deodorants are effective, safe products. Perspiration is an essential physiological phenomenon, which keeps our bodies functioning. Although sweat itself is practically odourless, the microbes that live on the skin surface break it down and cause unpleasant smells.
The difference between antiperspirants and deodorants is that the former reduces sweating, while the latter neutralises smells thanks to the presence of antibacterial substances.
