Fighting cancer with a positive attitude

The importance of feeling good

During medical treatment for cancer, people often experience changes to their body, hair or skin, so their care must adapt to their new needs. The time you spend on your appearance should be an enjoyable self-care experience. As well as cheering you up, feeling attractive helps to reduce anxiety, increases self-esteem and makes it easier to interact with the people around you.

Our Stanpa Foundation programme is designed for anyone of any gender being treated for cancer. This programme teaches you to look after your skin, hair and nails, to apply make-up and use sunscreen during treatment, because when we look better, it helps us feel better and have a more positive attitude.
